Our Poster

This poster for the 14th London Kurdish Film Festival brings together the beauty of Kurdish culture. The design started as a sketch idea from Zelah Latteef, an incredibly talented Kurdish art director and graphic designer, and I had the honor of turning it into the final artwork.
The focus is on Kurdish dance and traditional clothing, both powerful symbols of freedom, Kurdish history, identity, and celebration. Dance has always been a way for Kurdish people to express joy, unity, and even resistance, while the clothing tells stories through its rich patterns and colours, passed down through generations.
In this artwork, we wanted to capture the movement and energy of Kurdish dance, the way it brings people together. The details in the clothing highlights the deep traditions behind it, while the bold composition connects the past with today’s world. The mix of these elements reflects what the festival is all about, sharing Kurdish stories with a wider audience and building a bridge between cultures.
This is more than just a poster; it’s a celebration of heritage, creativity, and the powerful role of film in keeping traditions alive.
