Migration to seek refuge somewhere safe is never voluntary, and the route of migration often leads to tragedies. ‘The Cold’ strikingly combines all these moments of immigration with the story of two nameless protagonists, a pregnant woman and her husband who are trying to cross the border in a frosty geography.
