Halime Ilter is a German-Kurdish actress. She was born in 1983 in Arban/Mardin and grew up talking Kurmanci.
She studied acting in Berlin and graduated after four years. Since then she played in numerous German short and featured films. Mostly in the main role.
The award winning film by Sahim Omar Kalifa “Zagros” was the first film for Halima to play a Kurdish main role. This was followed by other great projects, including her latest international production “SINJAR” by Anna M. Bofarull. In this recently in Iraq produced film Halima played an Yazidi woman in the clutches of IS.
Currently Halima is involved in several German feature film productions while looking forward to new not chlichéd role profiles.
