Yezidi’s are a predominantly Kurdish ethnic group, upholding a six thousand-year-old ancient religion of Yazidism. Judged to be “devil-worshippers,” the ethnic minority has faced its worse oppression yet with the rise of ISIS in recent history. In the plight of escaping genocide, mass execution, and enslavement, the Yezidi have been scattered in Kurdistan. In this documentary, we follow one young man to his besieged village to save his elderly parents, who were left behind by the first wave of refugees.
