September 12, 1980. A military coup in Turkey results in large numbers of detainment and the disappearance of people. Many were questioned under torture, others hanged, and some even massacred in acid wells after being thrown from helicopters. Following the unimaginable brutality, Berfo Kirbayir searches her son Cemil for 33 years. The documentary digs into Cemil’s detention and disappearance, as it follows the struggles of Mother Berfo, who sought answers till her last breath.
