If one day you were obliged to leave the city in which you were born and grew up, what would you want to take with you? Cembeli has spent all his life in Hasankeyf, but because of the Ilısu dam is forced to migrate. His dream is only to be buried beside his dead wife so when he is force to migrate, he opens his wife’s grave and takes the bones with him, leaving Hasankeyf forever.

Immigrant

A semi documentary animation about a Kurdish boy who was sent away from his motherland at the age of thirteen and ends up living in UK. ‘Immigrant’ is based on several interviews with the boy.
