A barren mountainous landscape reflects the tortured soul of Mardan, who wanders through it in isolation. He is haunted by the memories of all those killed during the Kurdish Genocide under Saddam Hussein’s regime. Mardan is one of many who search for the missing bodies of their relatives in the Kurdistan desert. On his search, he comes across remains of Iranian soldiers buried across the land and decides to take them to Iran. When he stumbles upon the doll of his daughter, he is closer to her in more ways than one. Breath-taking cinematography powerfully captures this true story.
