At the beginning of the 19th Century, Yazidi Kurds became victims of the Ottoman Empire's intolerance. During this period they were exiled from their homeland to the different parts of the region, including Armenia where generations of them now live. Here, young Kurdish filmmaker Binevsa Bêrîvan travels to Armenia to meet these people, and outlines their rich and vibrant history which can be traced back to the story of conversion to Islam in the 7th century, and the persecution of minorities who remained true to their religious roots.
